There are places that become inseparable from a family's story.

For more than 30 years, this century-old cottage has been a place of gathering, belonging, and renewal. Within its walls are decades of summers, cherished traditions, quiet mornings, and memories shared across generations.

To celebrate her husband's 75th birthday, a client commissioned The Cottage, a deeply personal architectural sculpture honouring a place that has become part of their family's identity.

The distinctive architecture, surrounding landscape, and native vegetation were thoughtfully interpreted to preserve the character of the property and the spirit of a place so deeply loved.

Created as a lasting family heirloom, this original artwork carries something beyond its physical form: a shared history, a sense of belonging, and the promise of memories yet to come.

As the client so beautifully expressed:

"It will be a forever reminder for us, our children and our grandchildren of all the happy memories we have created there over the decades. It’s the place we rejuvenate our souls."
